The Susanville Youth Orchestra, is a training ground for existing and future chairs in the Susanville Symphony.
Unlike many youth orchestras around the state, this one offers unique opportunities to not just youthful players, but literally anyone who has played their instrument for one year and are becoming competent in reading music notation.
Some members of the Susanville Symphony still perform with youngsters and others who want to play classical music. They add to the mentoring process for their more inexperienced colleagues.
