The Susanville Swing Concert
October 23rd & 24th, 2009

Returning to kick off what promises to be another fabulous season, the Susanville Swing Band will present an all-new performance of "America's Music", blending traditional Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and Tommy Dorsey big band standards with favorites like Frank Sinatra's My Way and Bobby Darin's Beyond the Sea.

Audiences will find it impossible to stay off the dance floor. Dance, drink, listen and be merry as you enjoy an eclectic evening of big band, jazz, blues, and other famous tunes of America's past generations.

The Twelve Days of Christmas
December 11th & 13th, 2009

What would the holidays be in Susanville without the Symphony’s annual Christmas Concert? This year our Symphony will be performing the world premiere of Maestro Wade’s original arrangement of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Some of the other pieces being performed include Winter Wonderland, Overture to Miracle on 34th Street, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and many other traditional favorites.

The Christmas spirit will come alive in all who attend this performance of inspiring holiday music.

The Student and the Master II
February 12th & 14th, 2010

This concert continues our journey of “The Student and the Master” from last season. Maestro Wade will once again trace the importance of mentorship in music.

This time we begin with the monumental spirit of Beethoven and trace the timeline to the beautiful romanticism of Sergei Rachmaninoff. The evolution of music will certainly be noticeable to the audience as the orchestra moves from Classical, to Romantic and into the Modern era.

The Silk Road
April 16th & 18th, 2010

In this concert series, Maestro Wade will take you on a musical journey that follows in the footsteps of the 13th century traveler Marco Polo, along what we know as the Silk Road.

Works to be performed include Polvitsian Dances by Borodin, Persian Slaves by Mussorgsky, and Capriccio Italien by Tchaikovsky. The flavor of far off lands will be envisioned by the audience through Maestro Wade’s masterful interpretations of this incredible music.

The Susanville Pops Concert
June 11th & 13th, 2010

The Susanville Pops concert has become one of the most popular among our audience members.

Some of the works slated to be performed are Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Theme from James Bond, Les Miserables, and Viktor’s Tale among many others.

This concert promises to be entertaining for the entire family and a fitting finale to our seventh season.
